Review: Milani Color Statement Lipsticks!

Hi Everyone!

Today I am bringing you a review of the new Milani Color Statement Lipsticks that recently came out. As stated by Milani Cosmetics, the Color Statement Lipsticks provide true instant color. One stroke, full coverage application. This next generation lipstick gives the ultimate in color, texture and finish.  The lightweight creamy formula contains Vitamins A, C, & E to moisturize and nourish lips.   Paraben-free. Available in Vinyl, Metallic, Cream, Shimmer, Pearl & Matte finish.

The packaging is a gold, mirror like finish and has Milani engraved on the cap. The bottom of the tube has the lipstick shade, number, and name. As you will be able to see in the photos, the shade on the bottom is the EXACT shade that is in the tube. This was a HUGE perk for me because I have experienced, far too many times, companies that do this and the shade on the bottom doesn't quite match up with the shade in the tube.

I purchased 4 of the cream finish lipsticks and these lipsticks are quite moisturizing and do not leave the lips feeling dry at all. I find that the wear is quite good and for me they last about 4-5 hours (which is a long time for me). I did not have any problems with them feathering at all. The lipsticks apply very opaque and are not streaky upon application. With one swipe you cannot see any of your own lip color underneath.

Now on to the swatches!
  • All photos were taken in artificial lighting and flash.
  • All lipsticks were swatched over bare skin.
  • The only photo editing done was exposure adjustment.

Left to Right: Fruit Punch, Rose Amour, Hot Pink Rage, & Flamingo Pose
 Fruit Punch:
  • This lipstick is a peachy pink shade and is gorgeous for more every day wear.
Rose Amour:
  • This lipstick is a blue-purple based hot pink. Perfect for those days where you want a bright, bold lip!
Hot Pink Rage:
  • This lipstick is a bright, red based hot pink. It has more of a berry tone to it but it's a beautiful bright shade that would look amazing with tan skin!
Flamingo Pose:
  • This lipstick is a bright coral shade that is similar (from swatches I've seen) to MAC's Party Parrot, so if you missed out on that one like I did, this is a close dupe!
I really do enjoy these lipsticks. They are so smooth and easy to apply. My favorites, even though I really do love them all, are Fruit Punch and Flamingo Pose.

Have you tried out these lipsticks yet? If so, how do you like them and which are your favorites?

-Alicia
