Exciting News!!!!!!!!! My Own Shadow in the Glamour Doll Eyes Blogger Collection!

Hey Everyone!!!

So I have been dying to tell you all this exciting news for months now and now I can finally share it with you all! I was contacted back in April by Vee from Glamour Doll Eyes and she was interesting in doing a Blogger Collection that would consist of 10 different beauty bloggers/vloggers/youtubers creating their own eyeshadows for a new collection that would be included in their permanent line! I of course accepted as this is a great opportunity and GDE is one of my favorite makeup brands! We were all able to create our own shadow and add our own unique twists to the colors.

The color that I came up with is called Calypso and it is a deep teal color with purple and gold shimmers. I decided to name it Calypso because all of these colors combined remind me of a space type theme and Calypso is a goddess from Greek mythology so it all kind of tied in and that's the name that worked for the color! Teal is my absolute favorite color so right when I saw the email, teal was the first color that popped into my mind! I am thrilled at how amazing this color came out and it's exactly what I was looking for to add to this collection!

Each of the girls that are involved in this project are amazing and I will have all of their links posted so you can check them all out!

The Blogger Collection will be available to purchase July 10th on the Glamour Doll Eyes website! Sneak peaks of the shadows are going to be posted on the GDE Facebook page as well as on their Twitter!

I am planning to do a giveaway of the entire collection so make sure to stay tuned for that as well :)

I am so thankful that Vee contacted me to be involved in this project! I was so ecstatic when I received the email and this is such a great opportunity and I seriously appreciate her so much for thinking of me to be included in the bloggers/vloggers/youtubers that she chose! Vee works so incredibly hard for GDE and all of her hard work shows through the amazing products that they have!

I also want to thank each and every one of you, because without all of your support and watching my videos and visiting my blog this could have never happened! I appreciate you all so much for taking the time to watch my videos and look through my blog, it really does mean the world to me!

Reivew: Revlon ColorStay Whipped Creme Foundation

Hey Everyone!

Today I am going to be reviewing the Revlon ColorStay Whipped Crème Foundation. The claim from Revlon about this foundation is that this truly decadent makeup offers ultimate performance. The mousse-like texture feels like silk on your skin. And, the time- release formula balances skin for a flawless look. All day flexible wear without flaking, caking or feeling heavy. This product is buildable to full coverage for flawless skin. Soft, matte finish all day, withstands heat and humidity-great for summer, and comes in 16 beautiful shades.

I personally really do enjoy this product a lot! I do have some differences with the claims of this product such as I didn’t see 16 different shades in the store that I purchased it in (Target), nor on the website, I only counted 12. I also feel as though this product has more of a satin type finish, not a true matte finish like the Revlon ColorStay Liquid Foundation. I do however think that this foundation leaves a great subtle glow to the skin and it DOES last all day! I was quite impressed with the staying power of this foundation, as on me it lasted 8 hours without fading or looking cakey on the skin. I initially found this product to have medium to full coverage; it is definitely buildable to full coverage.

I like the fact that I don’t have to use half as much product as I do with my Revlon ColorStay Liquid foundation; a little goes a long way with this product. To apply it I use my Sigma Round Kabuki F82 brush and the foundation blends amazingly and doesn’t dry too quickly before being blended into the skin. It leaves quite a flawless finish that looks amazing in pictures and on camera. Initially, this product feels slightly tacky on the skin, but once I use my Inglot Translucent Setting Powder to set this product it looses the tacky finish, but keeps it’s glow.

I purchased this product for $11.99 at Target. The color ranges went from very pale/light shades to somewhat darker/tan shades. Unfortunately, they didn’t seem to have any shades for dark skin tones, which is a downside for me because I feel as though it is tough for darker skin toned individuals to find drug store products that are dark enough, and it would have been great to see that in this collection. This container has 0.8 Fl.oz of product; there is 1.0 Fl.oz of product in the Revlon ColorStay Liquid Foundation. Granted there is less product, I believe that this whipped formula will last much longer because you won't have to use as much product when applying.

Overall I think that this is a great product and lives up to most of its claims. It has a very smooth finish once set with a setting powder and lasts all day, which is a must for me because I don’t have a lot of time to touch up makeup throughout the day. My overall rating for this product would be a 4 out of 5 stars due to the fact that I don’t find this product to have a straight matte finish and the limited color ranges for darker skin tones.

Overall Rating: 4/5 stars

Glamour Doll Eyes Summer Girls Collection

Hey Everyone!!!

Today I am super excited because I got my Glamour Doll Eyes Summer Girls Collection in the mail! This has been a long anticipated collection and I am so glad that I was able to get my hands on this collection! The Summer Girls Collection is limited edition; there are only 100 sets being sold, so if you are interested click here and get them quick before they are gone! Now on to the collection! This collection comes with 6 eye shadows, a mini Foil Me, and a mini Glamour Gloss. All of the shadows contain shimmer, which is great for summer looks! Here is a little description of each item in the collection as described by Glamour Doll Eyes:

Shadows:
-       Cora: A medium to bright pink with a slight orange hue and pink-red sparkles.
-       Mollie: A bluish purple with golden sparkle.
-       Ariana: A pale yellow with slight pink shimmer.
-       Crystal: A light orange, almost coral, with green sparkle.
-       Morgan: A blue with purple undertones and a greenish blue sparkle.
-       Brooke: A medium green with a yellow/gold duochrome.

Foil Me:
-       Foil Me is used to apply your shadows wet or to use the shadows as a liner; this sample comes in a squeeze bottle, which is great as it is very easy to use!

Glamour Gloss:
-       Zoe: A bright orange lip gloss

Glamour Doll Eyes Makeup Bag:
            - A white bag that fits all 6 shadows, Foil Me, and the lip gloss. This bag is white and has a pink zipper and detailing of stars, swallows, and of course the GDE logo.

I am absolutely in love with the shadows that are in this collection!  I like how there is a wide variety of shades and that they all have their own unique twist to them. They are the perfect shades for summer looks but can also be transformed into more dramatic looks. My personal favorites are Brooke, anything with a duochrome I am drawn to, and Mollie.

This was my first time trying Foil Me and I really like it as a base for shadows! This base is tacky so that the shadows stick very well but don’t become clumpy and blend easily. This base really makes the shadows pop and their sparkles and undertones really show through.

Now on to the gloss! The color initially looks very shocking in the tube, but once applied to the lips it is quite sheer. It gives a slight orange tint to the lips and has a little bit of a sheen. I personally like the way it looks and it smells amazing!!!!!! The smell of coconut quickly drew me to this gloss and now I can’t stop putting it on haha! The gloss is very smooth and makes your lips feel very hydrated and soft.

The makeup bag is so cute and great to put in your purse or to take with you on vacation. Although it is small, it will fit the necessities and is big enough for more than 6 GDE shadows and will fit lipsticks and lip gloss!

Everything about this collection is amazing and definitely worth checking out. As I said before get them quickly because they are limited edition! I hope you all found this post helpful and have a great day!

Glamour Doll Eyes also changed up their packaging in this collections and I absolutely LOVE it! The "Glamour Girl" as I like to call her has more of a punky-pinup style and I absolutely love it!
